GARDENERS’ QUESTION TIME

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

An opportunity to get answers from experts on all aspects of growing fruit and vegetables.  Bridford and Teign Valley Garden Club is organising an open event at Teign Valley Community Hall at 7.30pm on Thursday 1 March and everyone is welcome.  Further details from Mary Rogers 01647 252195.

Experts will include Kevin Croucher from Thornhayes Nursery in Dulford who has over thirty years experience as a horticulturalist and talks on growing, pruning, training and grafting of fruit trees, Dan Harvey from the National Vegetable Society and judge at Christow Show and Tim Deane, whose local organic farm pioneered the first veggie box scheme

Come along and ask your questions on the night.  Do you want to know how to train an espalier, grow the tastiest carrots, avoid using pesticides or find out the best fruit to grow in this area – this is your chance to find answers.  Entrance £2.50 for non-Garden Club members.  Tea and coffee will be served.
