Lovely Hotel. Excellent location. Very Easy to find, though roads are quite narrow. Lovely to have a freshly cooked breakfast, always better than a buffet. We had a lovely view over open fields from our room. So peaceful.
A nice country hotel - a little bit out in the sticks but in a beautful setting. Comfortable and good food. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Came here for a friend's wedding. It's a bit complicated to get to, but is a beautiful setting. Staff were friendly, although I felt there could be more of them! Rooms were decent & heated well. The staff even managed to devise some vegan food for us, which was a bit beyond what I would have expected. I recommend a stay here.
Had such a lovely day cerebrating my daughters wedding. The hospitality we received from the manager and staff were exceptional. Rooms, decor, and food superb thank you so much

Lovely beer garden and an epic cheeseboard. Have been a couple of times recently and have been impressed on both occasions. Plenty of parking and decent cider. Reception from the landlady can be a little frosty, but it must be grim having to deal with the public day in, day out. Recommended.
This is a lovely little place. I stayed over the Easter weekend and really enjoyed myself. My room was nice and clean, with a very comfy bed. Great breakfast options. Wonderful choice of well kept ales, including their own Nobody's Ale. Humongous selection of wine and whiskey. Staff were very lovely, food was yummy (buy only one veggie option - which is why I've only given 4 stars). All of this set in stunning surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Our group of 10 had lovely Sunday lunch here today. Great Yorkshire Pudding, excellent (Cod) fish & chips, roast Cod and burger, together with nice draft lager🍻. Reasonable price. Very nice friendly pub atmosphere, and the friendliest and nicest owner!! We feel like being in an old friend’s home 😀😀. Thanks, Bryan, for your great hospitality👍🙏
We called mid-morning hoping that we might get coffee and scones, but not overly hopeful at that time of the day. We were the only customers, but nicely welcomed. No scones, but really brilliant flat whites made it a great little stop. The building is beautiful and very well kept.

We have been here quite a few times before. We always use the adults side so I can't say what the family side is like. The food was well cooked and presented. Not bad value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with part of our order. Which was sorted out when we pointed it out. We would eat here again.
This place has it all. An indoor play area for young ones and an outdoor park with a huge beer garden. Looking forward to Idefest in July. Food looked good although not the cheapest. Drinks are also a bit pricey but a good selection to pick from. Recommend the Devon dreamer ale.

Absolutely beautiful! I stayed in the self contained barn, which is full of rustic charm. Fantastic, friendly welcoming owner who couldn't have done more for us. The breakfasts were delicious. Perfect venue. I can't wait to go again.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Shute Cottage this summer - just for one night, sadly. Very pretty location and Carol was so friendly. She served us a delicious breakfast and we really enjoyed talking to her. We only wish we'd been able to stay another night.

Excellent, private large room with separate entrance and very attentive border collie, Flo. Breakfast served in the room. Warm welcome and we would rteturn again.
Beautiful spot with views down the valley to edge of Hanlon Forest. First rate B&B accommodations and service. Close to Dartmoor National Park.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

What a wonderful relaxing time my daughter and i had at this very pleasant site. Straight away we were made to feel very welcome nothing seemed too much trouble. Very well maintained grass areas throughout. Toilet and showers almost 5☆ hotel standard. Lovely people, lovely site and great holiday. Thanks. We will be coming again.....Tim and Kerry (12)
Great camping site. Electric and non electric pitches are situated at the top of the park. Toilets big and clean. The only negative is the caravans parked here for the season, most of them look like they don't ever move and are a bit tatty. Situated 5 minutes from the A38 which is great for going south or North.
